Winter has come and settled around a mother and daughter’s small cabin.
They have come to check their fishing net underneath the lake ice.
However, after they have chipped through the frozen lake
they find that their net has been viciously torn and needs to be repaired
before it can be reset. That night, as the daughter spins string
between her fingers, the mother cautions her against playing
string figures at night when everything is asleep. You risk waking them up.
The Other Ones. The Inuunngitut. Ancient,
spiritual creatures her grandmother had warned them about.

Invoking the wrath of the Other Ones, terror has come home to the sleepy
little cabin as the Mother and Daughter are pitted against dark forces
waiting for the chance to come out and play.
Relying on one another to confront the trauma that has plagued
their family over generations, the Daughter must battle against a spiritual
reckoning remembering the lessons, strength, and love her grandmother had
instilled in her so long ago.
